slow down

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why. -Eddie Cantor (January 31, 1892-October 10, 1964) American songwriter, performer.

great service, even better food

I am a Chinese food fanatic, so I am always noticing when new Chinese restaurants open up in the area. This is my new favorite Chinese take-out restaurant. Chen's is located right beside the Piggly Wiggly on #1 highway next to the Barnyard Flea Market. Their food and service there is great and the people are very friendly. As you can see they have just opened so help this little place out and go get some great Chinese food! Oh, and the containers they give you are machine washable! The lids are water tight so you don't have to worry about any juices spilling if something happened and your food hits the floor of your vehicle. So, if your looking for some place new to try with great food and friendly people, give Chen's a try. You won't be disappointed!

thin ice

If you are going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance. - unknown

two choices

When it snows, you have two choices: shovel or make snow angels. - unknown

I know, I know. I just took photos of the Mill Pond Waterfall but I was not satisfied with them. I like these a lot better. Not only because snow makes everything more beautiful but the images are more sharp. Hope you all enjoy!

before you

The future lies before you, like paths of pure white snow. Be careful how you tread it, for every step will show. - unknown

Winter in Lexington, SC is far from normal late last year and early this year. I've been living here for 23 years and this is the first time that it has ever snowed twice in one Winter. Personally, I love the snow. As most of you know, I lived in TN for 3 years so I am pretty used to it. I wish every one else was. Especially the S.C.D.O.T. who takes care of the roads.

nature's way

finally

This is a photo of a gazebo extending out into a pond in the neighborhood of Persimmon Grove where one of my buddies lives. Last night was the first time I was even able to take pictures since before Christmas. Gah, finally! It seemed like it had been forever. I had to get a new Camera because mine was having some technical difficulties from a drop (not gonna name any names) that happened Christmas Eve, Eve. No worries though! I'm back in business!
