The hike up and down to Laurel Falls today is not a very far one but boy was it tough! At first it's all flat land with bridges even to cross a couple of little streams and then, BOOM! We were going up and down, left and right, down these rocks, up these rocks. However, it wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have a 40 lb little one on my back! The rock steps going down to the falls stretched about 100 yards and was not so bad because momentum could just kind of take you down. However, going back up was exhausting!! But all of it, even the climb up was so worth it. Failing was not an option!! The quote above fits the journey we endured to a tee. I just hope me taking success as an obligation rubs off on my little ones and to never give up!!
